Diabetic RetinopathyThe retina lines the back of the eye like the film of a camera. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a condition that may affect people with all types of diabetes. DR affects the blood vessels at the back of the eye. Vessels may leak fluid or bleed, or may close down altogether.The risk of developing DR increases with duration of diabetes.
