Blepharitis - FAQSQ. I have red and irritated eyelids, what should I do?A. Gently clean your eyelids using a special eyelid cleaner, or a warm solution of water and baby shampoo, mixed 4 parts to 1.Seek medical attention to have a correct diagnosis made, either by your GP or by making an appointment with one of our Eye Specialists. Q. I had this condition years ago, and I think it has come back – what should I do?A. Re-initiate the treatment given to you for this condition when you first had it diagnosed.Seek medical attention to have a correct diagnosis made, and to ensure more extensive treatment is not required such as antibiotic therapy. Remember that blepharitis is a long term disease which may recur. Regular lid hygiene practices should be built into your daily hygiene routine. |
